The general goal of the project is to support people with autism and their families through information about their rights and planning strategies for asserting them. Often people on the spectrum and their families are asked to go through procedures that are necessary (exemption from military service, attending them in appropriate school contexts, claiming benefits, receiving treatments). Rights and benefits are not communicated or instructions are not clear (legislation changes frequently), adding stress to the already existing difficulties they face.

The project aims at the personalized support of families by operating a support office, where a social worker, trained in legislation and providing counseling, will support families through personal appointments, by any suitable means, in order to serve families from all over Greece.

The aim of the project is to support and empower people with autism and their families by informing them of their rights and how to claim them (counseling). At the same time, the supervision and recording of violations of their rights and the laws that concern them and advocacy for the improvement of the relevant legislative framework.
